James Sankey & Associates had the challenge of renovating the Holiday Inn in Williamsport, PA. The existing pool was in a state of disrepair, pool tiles coming off the bottom of the pool were cutting hotel guests feet, the main pool entrance had steps and a separate entrance with an ADA ramp to access the pool area. Filter/Equipment to maintain the pool was found in need of upgrading /replacement. With a few site visits and communication with the Hotel, Jim Sankey drove the design of pool room and pool renovation so that the entire room was one level. He drew on the resources of a colleague and local architect, and together they cam up with a total PIP (Property Improvement Program) that raised the flooring up to eliminate the steps and existing ramp thus making it accessible to all throughout the pool area. Together, Jim and Tony created a totally new amenity.
